Tab Bouncer does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. It has no servers, no analytics and no tracking.
What stays in your browser
- Your settings (on/off and your tab limit) are saved with Chrome's built-in extension storage. If you use Chrome Sync, Chrome syncs these two settings between your own devices.
- The "Escorted out" list (the title, address and icon of the last 100 tabs Tab Bouncer closed, plus a running count) is stored locally on your device so you can restore those tabs. It never leaves your computer.
Permissions and why they're needed
- tabs: to count your open tabs and close the oldest one when you go over your limit.
- storage: to remember your settings and the "Escorted out" list.
- sessions: so "Let back in" can reopen a closed tab with its back-button history.
Removing your data
Uninstalling Tab Bouncer deletes everything it stored.
